Window in the Skies
The shackles are undoneThe bullets quit the gun
The heat that’s in the sun
Will keep us when there’s none
The rule has been disproved
The stone it has been moved
The grave is now a groove
All debts are removed
Oh can’t you see what love has done?
What it’s done to me?
I know I hurt you and I made you cry
Did everything but murder you and I
But love left a window in the skies
And to love I rhapsodize
To every broken heart
For every heart that cries
Love left a window in the skies
And to love I rhapsodize
The books of Daniel in the Hebrew Bible and Revelation (NT) are two Windows in the Skies. They are two bridges over the troubled waters of the human speculations about the end of the world. These sensational views are more projections of their authors' dry imagination and theological disorientation than revelations from above! They can't see what love has done? What it’s done to me?
The end result of these speculative teachings are fanaticism, fear, panic, suicide cultivated in the garden of insanity. The sweet fruit of a sound understanding of the end of the world is composed by encouragement, strength, confidence and victory. A kaleidoscope of Diamonds! Read, Think and Understand!

Bono is in good company in his struggle for Justice. The prophet Amos said "Let justice" - not charity - "roll down like mighty waters," and for good reason: whereas charity alleviates the effects of poverty, justice seeks to eliminate the causes of it. It is much easier to talk about charity than of justice. Charity, after all, threatens not at all the status quo (...) Justice, on the other hand, leads directly to political controversy.
''Many of us are eager to respond to injustice, as long as we can do so without having to confront the causes of it. There's the great pitfall of charity. Handouts to needy individuals are genuine, necessary responses to injustice, but they do not necessarily face the reason for injustice. And that is why so many business and governmental leaders today are promoting charity; it is desperately needed in an economy whose prosperity is based on growing inequality. First these leaders proclaim themselves experts on matters economic, and prove it by taking the most out of the economy! Then they promote charity as if it were the work of the church, finally telling us troubled clergy to shut up and bless the economy as once we blessed the battleships." (W.S.C.)
Belief and confusion are not mutually exclusive.
I think belief gives you a direction in the confusion.
But you don't see the full picture. That's the point...
That's what faith is... - Bono
To me, Faith in Jesus Christ that is not aligned
to social justice - that is not aligned with the poor..
It's nothing... - Bono
All have fallen short...
Let's stop throwing stones at people who have
made mistakes in their life and let's start throwing
medicines and food at those who need the most.

Those who read scripture and don't come away
with God's preferential concern for the poor are
"just blind"
2013 verses in scripture are about the poor..

I love the idea of the sacrificial lamb. I love the idea
that God says, "Look you cretins, there are certain
results to the way we are, to selfishness and there's
morality as part of your sinful nature... There are
consequences to actions... - Bono
I'm holding out for Grace. I'm holding out that
Jesus took my sins onto the cross, because
I know who I am, and I hope I don't have to
depend on my own religiosity. - Bono
For me, it's the despair that the psalmist really
reveals the nature of his special relationship
with God. Honestly even to the point of anger.

Meditation: The Room of Mirrors
A Day Without Me
Started a landslide in my ego
Looked from the outside to the world I left behind.
I'm dreaming, you're awake
If I was sleeping, what's at stake?
Even though the Bible is literature in its most reliable nature and rich style, the Power of the Word creates new realities and new perceptions of events that can never be grasped by human intelligence alone. Without the eyes of revelation we become what Dr. Wilfred Byon called "intelligent monkeys" smart creatures in need of wisdom.
At the core of one’s rebellion against his/her Maker, is the absence of wisdom, spiritual motivations and holy desires. With its original fall, humanity has lost a framework for a happy and fulfilling life. As a result, our Meaning Soul Structure has been damaged. Instead of coming to the tree of life for rebirth and living waters we keep eating more and more from the forbidden fruit to numb our pain and relieve our misery.
That’s the essence of addiction and compulsive habits. This course of action is in direct opposition to a life guided and guarded by God’s Spiritual Freedom.
At the root of Sabbath-breaking is the breaking of our souls through internal conflicting goals and autonomy from God. We can find encouragement in that in- spite of all competing noisemakers from our own selves and others; the voice that speaks from the burning bush makes harmonious music of our inner noises.
Weddings, funerals and special family events are moments of significant inner revelations emanated from our personal navigation system or existential maps. As in a magical tour we suddenly find ourselves surrounded by mirrors. Among them are the mirrors of our potential beauty and dreams: the mirror of our personal failures and guilt: the mirror of our relational failures and spiritual imprisonments. And finally, the mirror of our family-of-origin memories completes the four walls of our inner prison.
As we feel surrounded by inescapable glassy walls we experience internal earthquakes, we come to realize that our worse enemies are from within. We move our eyes from mirror to mirror searching for wisdom and insight. But we are lost within our own images and reflections.
Empowered by an intuition of hope we search for strategies to find a window of opportunity and escape. Whenever we feel tired or exhausted by fierce opposition we go back staring at the soul mirrors in the expectaion of a new vision of a miracle.
As an incarnation of love and wisdom approaches us we are saved from our useless bleeding searches that lead us to the land of despair. If there is an open door to Hope we must close our eyes to visible mirrors and open the eyes of our heart to see the invisible hands that places in our hands the Key to Freedom.
As we open the door of hope we experience fthe power to say no addictive alternatives to pain since we shall never have enough of what we don't need it, whether sex, chocolate or gambling. In this false door to self-amusement, inner healing becomes self-exploitation and deeper slavery.
We will not deny the hard realities of life. Denial perpetuates bondage while Knowledge generates liberating power. There is no need of self-mutilation and angry outbursts through "eruptions" of revenge.
The keys to freedom may include reflective thinking, meditation, enjoyment of friendships and nature. It may also include carefrontation and insight over what can be changed and peace with closure over what cannot be changed. All self-defeating attempts to change the unchangeable are pathways to insanity.
Finally, trust in the functional reality of “Karma” may set us free to other growth areas of our personal dreams. We will walk-on with boldness through the path of our possibilities and leave behind our fears and self-doubts! (Bono) The end of dreaming is the beginning of dying. We have chosen the dream of a life rich in challenges and expectations: a life that is stronger than death and demons. We have chosen life as it is supposed to be.
